Rifugio Ventina

Located in the heart of Raethian Alps, in Valmalenco (Province of Sondrio, Italy), the Rifugio Ventina with his rooms and restaurant offers the perfect place to enjoy panoramic views of incredible beauty and to taste the typical dishes from Valtellina. The refuge is reached with a hour of walked from Chiareggio, but you can also reach it with 6 hours of walked from Switzerland (Muretto Pass and Forno Pass) or from Val Masino ( trough Rifugio Ponti) and Val di Mello (Sentiero Roma). The Valmalenco is famous for the "ALTA VIA", our refuge is the point of arrival of the second day, with departure from the Rifugio Bosio, and the departure of the third day with arrival to Chiareggio. The refuge is a ideal point of departure for various walks and excursions or for ascensions on the tops of the group of Disgrazia (Mount Cassandra, Mount Kennedy, Mount Disgrazia). The Ventina glacier is also one of the best area for ski touring on springtime. You can also reach by ski touring our refuge from Switzerland hiking the Muretto Pass. The refuge is open only during the summer, from June to September, and during the week-end on April-May and October.
